Amanda McCooeye
MSW, RSW, Child and Youth Specialist
Hey there, I’m Amanda (she/her). Families and youth I work with often describe me as warm, relational, and deeply attuned — qualities I believe are foundational when supporting young people through growth, healing, and change.
I bring over 24 years of experience in the Child and Youth Care field, supporting children, youth, and families across family homes, residential settings, and community-based agencies. My work is grounded in both extensive education and hands-on practice, including a diploma in Child and Youth Work from Niagara College, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Child and Youth Care from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson). I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
My approach is rooted in relational practice — meeting young people where they are, building trust and connection, and walking alongside them as they navigate their own unique journey. I strive to create a safe, supportive space that honours each individual’s strengths, fosters healing, and supports meaningful development.
It is a privilege to be invited into the lives of young people and their families. My greatest joy comes from witnessing the resilience, potential, and growth that emerges when youth are supported to move toward their own sense of safety, confidence, and belonging.
