Kristy Fishback
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hi, I'm Kristy! I am excited to join the team at the Ingersoll Wellness Hub after almost a decade of working in residential treatment settings supporting youth with complex needs, and adults living with dementia and Alzheimer's.
In my current therapeutic work, I am enjoying providing a safe space for people from all walks of life to process, explore, and create action plans to experience increased wellness and greater quality of life (hopefully with a few laughs sprinkled in there somewhere!)
Outside of the office I am an avid baseball fan (Go, Jays, GO!), and I can often be found curled up with a good book, or enjoying a new movie with popcorn in hand!
My Specialties
Working with parents: Prior to my Masters' Degree, I have worked as a Social Service Worker for almost a decade supporting youth with complex behavioral and developmental needs. I am ready to help parents and families who need guidance and support in navigating the tricky waters of parenting, school concerns, and those dreaded teenage years!
Depression and Anxiety: Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or struggling with low mood? I know that you'll find a caring and compassionate space with me. With a warm and non-judgmental approach, I provide a safe space to talk, understand your challenges, and work towards meaningful change. Under the supervision of our clinical director, you’ll receive quality care while being supported every step of the way.
Relationship Support: I am delighted to be offering couples therapy with a focus on helping partners reconnect and strengthen their relationship. I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and work from a non-judgmental, compassionate stance, creating a safe space where both partners can feel heard and understood.
I know that finding time for therapy can be challenging, so I’m pleased to offer evening appointments to better accommodate your schedule. Whether you’re navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, or simply looking to improve communication, I’m here to support you as you work towards a stronger, more connected relationship.
LGBTQIA2S+ Folks: I have always lived in rural communities, and know how hard it can be to find a space that is safe and accepting. In 2025, it shouldn't need to be said, but alas - here we are! I'll shout it from the rooftops: straight or queer, you're safe here. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life, without hesitation.
