You've never seen group therapy like this.

What if therapy didn’t happen in a fluorescent-lit office?

What if it smelled like soil and sunshine, included laughter, fresh air, and the quiet joy of making something beautiful with your hands?

What if there was also... a dog?

Meet Your Facilitator(s)

Room to Bloom is facilitated by Melanie Rodrigues, Registered Psychotherapist, with approach to therapy that is grounded, warm, practical, and refreshingly human. Melanie believes therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and occasionally joyful — because growth doesn’t have to be miserable to be meaningful.

She’ll be joined by her faithful companion Moose, who specializes in emotional support, quality control, and reminding us all to lie in the sun when possible. 🐶

Together, they’re creating a space that is:

  • Laid-back but intentional

  • Emotionally safe

  • Inclusive and welcoming

  • Rooted in connection, not perfection

Blurred Flower Colors

Welcome to Room to Bloom — a 10-week psychotherapy group that takes place at a micro flower-farm just outside of Ingersoll, where mental health care meets gardening, mindfulness, and the deeply underrated healing power of playing in the dirt.

So… What Is Room to Bloom?

Room to Bloom is a small, supportive psychotherapy group running from June to August in Ingersoll Ontario. Each week, we gather for two hours (Thursdays 5:00-7:00pm!) in a flower-filled greenhouse and outdoor garden space to tend plants, learn practical mental health skills, and — yes — leave with fresh flowers.

Every session weaves together three core elements:

  • 🌱 Mental health learning (think: coping skills, nervous system regulation, boundaries, self-compassion, burnout recovery)

  • 🧘‍♀️ Mindfulness practices that actually feel doable (no pressure to “empty your mind”)

  • 🌸 Hands-on floral and gardening activities — planting, harvesting, arranging, and creating beauty

This is therapy that engages your whole body, not just your thoughts.

Who Is This Group For?

Room to Bloom is for adults who:

  • Are feeling burned out, disconnected, or stuck

  • Want to improve their mental health without sitting in a circle under fluorescent lights

  • Enjoy being outdoors (or are curious about it)

  • Like the idea of therapy that includes laughter, learning, and dirt

  • Want to build skills and community

You don’t need gardening experience. You don’t need to be “good at mindfulness.” You just need a willingness to show up as you are, and get a *little bit* dirty.
